Biography of Hazrat Inayat Khan

The Biography of Hazrat Inayat Khan was originally published in the 1970s. A new edition was issued in 2020. This is available in hardcopy, but here we provide an online version in pdf format

The original version of the Biography contained a wealth of references, that have been omitted from the newer version of this work. However, for those interested in them, they can be accessed by clicking on the image to the right. Individual references can be accessed here.

Complete Works of Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan, Original Texts:

The Foundation’s mission is to make the teachings of Inayat Khan available to all. Below you can download pdfs of the Complete Works.  If you wish to purchase the published hardcopy,  click on this link to Suluk Press.
Every volume has its own index, but it can be very useful to have an overall Index of all the volumes combined. This is available here.

These books are generally known as ‘The Brown Volumes’.  In 2022 the Foundation started a revision project, to modernize the books, make them better searchable and providing them with a better index. The first of these was issued in April, 2024.  It amalgamates the two original volumes of 1922 into one new volume. This revised series will be expanded gradually. Since the revised versions have a green cover, we will call them ‘The Green Volumes’.  Currently the Foundation is looking for a means to make ‘The Green Volumes’ also available in hardcopy, but due to its size, a convenient solution has not yet been found.

Sufi Periodicals

Starting in 1915, during the period that Inayat Khan lived in Londen, Sufi periodicals were published on a regular basis, mostly quarterly. This continued well into the thirties of the last century.

Two facsimile editions have been released in printed form, viz. Sufi (1915- 1920) and Sufism (1921 to 1924). In printed version they have become rare already, although some copies are left of the print run and can still be ordered (see the publications page on this website).

In 2023, a further compilations has been publised in hardcopy, and will in due course be added to this downloadable pdf service.

You can access the contents by clicking on the cover illustrations below.
